Our Series 6 boxes are made from a polymer that has been tested by an ISO accredited laboratory to last 25+ years exposed to high UV. Furthermore our injection molded plastic boxes have been proven to withstand sub-zero temperatures down to -50 degC / -58 degF - these are not your ordinary plastic core boxes!

The Discoverer range of boxes has been manufactured using more plastic, which may add a few extra grams to the empty weight, but makes for a strong, rigid box when filled with core.

Stacks securely and stays stable in transit

Outer edges have been designed to enable secure nesting and stacking. The unique design means that the boxes stack perfectly on top of each other without the tray above touching the core below. Strapping locators with reinforced fins behind the lip that ensure boxes can be tied down securely for transit. And then when on racking the box has a flat bottom that ensures smooth movement across rollers and ball transfer tables.

Cost comparable to wooden and wax cardboard boxes

The rigid rows make for a perfect platform for scanning, and the design allows the scanning head to capture an entire length of core. The bold START indicator ensures the driller starts the core run in the correct sequence.

High protection with a clip on lid

The Discoverer Core Box Lid is made from a single-piece molded plastic with integrated clips that hold it firmly on the box. The design allows every core box to be sealed with its own individual lid, and then stacked on top of each other stably. Or they can be used to cap off the top box in a stack.
